VMA would like to congratulate Jasmin Peterson for becoming the school’s first white-to-black belt student. She began training with us at Pritchard Community Center in the fall of 2006 as a white belt and has stayed the course, achieving First Dan Decided rank at a recent test in the main school at Bardstown, KY under the watchful eye of Master Dennis Wiley.  Three more students, Micah Farmer, Will Matherly, and Shannon Peterson, are hard at work preparing for their big test in March.  It includes cumulative knowledge from underbelt tests, performing up to ten forms, escape techniques or knife defense, free sparring, and board breaking as well as extensive knowledge of Korean history and the history of Tae Kwon Do.  Come support these students as they test in our own do jang before the judging panel.
